Founded in 1991 by the charismatic “Wild Bill” Krebs and his mother, Judy Krebs, Pleasurable Piercings began as a humble operation catering to New York City’s bikers, punks, skaters, and the underground gay S&M scene. Bill, one of the few piercers in the city at the time, honed his craft in a photo studio in Chelsea, developing a reputation for his skill & style.
In 1993, Pleasurable Piercings expanded into a 1,000-square-foot studio in Hawthorne, NJ, complete with a shipping department & corporate office. Just two years later, growing demand led to another expansion into a 5,000-square-foot facility featuring two state-of-the-art piercing rooms, a sterilization room, and a spacious showroom. Today, we are proud to be one of the most recognized names in the body piercing industry.
Located just minutes from New York City, our Hawthorne showroom combines cutting-edge equipment with a welcoming atmosphere. Our dedicated team is here to guide you through every step of your piercing journey, from selecting the perfect jewelry to understanding the aftercare process. Will Luterzo has been a professional body piercer since 2005, learning the craft under the mentorship of renowned piercer Ilias Stoilas. With a commitment to precision and safety, Will has mastered both standard and advanced piercing techniques, performing each procedure with a skilled, free-hand approach. Known for his gentle touch and approachable demeanor, he prioritizes creating a comfortable, stress-free experience for every client. As co-owner of Pleasurable Piercings, Will continues to blend his passion for body art with his dedication to exceptional customer service.
Sev Buchta began their piercing career in 2017, bringing a background in art and a passion for creativity to their work. Originally trained in glassblowing at Tyler School of Art, Sev applies that same attention to detail and precision to every piercing they perform. Since joining the Pleasurable Piercings team in 2022, Sev has become known for their professional yet friendly approach, creating a welcoming environment for clients. Their piercing room is a reflection of their eclectic interests, adorned with pins, stickers, and collectibles from favorites like Animal Crossing, Pokémon, and Tokidoki. With a focus on both safety and style, Sev ensures every client leaves feeling confident and cared for.
With over seven years of dedication to Pleasurable Piercings, Kait Darling is the heart of our studio as the Studio Manager and Resident Jewelry Specialist. Known for her eye for design and detail, Kait expertly curates our jewelry selection, helping clients find the perfect piece for any occasion. Her background in creativity and management ensures smooth studio operations and personalized, top-notch service for every visitor. Pleasurable Piercings was built on the passion, charisma, and fearless spirit of Wild Bill Krebs. As co-founder and the heart and soul of our studio, Bill wasn’t just a pioneer in the piercing community but a force of nature. From the early days in a Chelsea photo studio to expanding into our thriving Hawthorne location, Bill’s vision and infectious personality helped shape our business and the culture of body piercing itself.
To those who knew him, Wild Bill was more than a piercer—he was a storyteller, a mentor, and a friend with an unforgettable presence. His humor, talent, and unwavering commitment to his craft set the tone for everything Pleasurable Piercings stands for today. There isn’t a day that goes by when his stories aren’t shared, his laughter isn’t remembered, or his bold spirit isn’t felt in every corner of our studio.
Though Bill passed away suddenly and peacefully in 2007, his legacy lives on in every piercing, every piece of jewelry, and every warm welcome we extend to our clients. He taught us to approach our work with pride, creativity, and a touch of rebellious spirit—values we continue to honor each day.
We miss you, Wild Bill, but your memory lives on in the hearts of your family, friends, and the entire Pleasurable Piercings community. You built more than a business—you created a home for self-expression and individuality that endures beyond your years.
